Specializes in Travel to Mountain Destinations with Emphasis on ‘Peak Experiences’
Frisco, Colo. (Sept. 9, 2009) – Launched in July 2009, American Mountain Holidays (AMH) is a premier mountain experience and travel provider, planning Peak Experiences for the active traveler. With a focus on the California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, North Carolina, Utah, Vermont, and Wyoming markets, AMH is one of only a handful of travel providers who function as both a tour and receptive services operator, providing access to outdoor activities and events in Winter and Summer.

AMH provides full travel itineraries tailored to individual client needs as well as add-on activities for an already planned vacation.
Winter Experiences:
During the winter AMH is able to arrange all aspects of a winter vacation including staples such as Alpine skiing and snowboarding. Hut to Hut trips, winter backcountry touring and powder skiing, snow cat skiing and heli-skiing are among the Peak Experiences offered in winter along with Nordic skiing and snowshoeing to encourage the active lifestyle. Traditional sleigh rides and cat rides to remote cabins for dinner are also available in most destinations.
Summer Experiences:
A host of activities are offered during the summer season, including: hiking, mountaineering, fly- and driftboat fishing, whitewater rafting, and bicycling (both mountain and road varieties). AMH can also arrange activities such as rounds of golf and spa respites as well as a calendar of special events for its guests when they are in destination.
AMH’s staff has more than 20 years of experience in the mountain hospitality industry in Colorado, have skied more than 100 ski areas throughout eight countries and are active outdoor adventurers during the Summer. The board of advisors includes Ellen Miller, the first American woman (4th in the world) to reach the summit of Mt. Everest from both sides, North (Tibet) and South (Nepal). In 2002, she was elected Colorado Sportswoman of the year.
